Great book...
So I was watching Absolute Power last night on TV - it stars Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman (and directed by Eastwood) - and suddenly remembered that the screenplay was written by the unfeasibly talented William Goldman.
And I remembered that I'd got a superb book by him (see right) all about Screenwriting and people in the movie business generally - it's quite fantastic and, even if you've never had a thought about becoming a screenwriter, it's worth a read. So witty, entertaining and interesting - a gem of a book.
In case you're wondering if you know William Goldman, here are a couple
of the films he's written the screenplays for: The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy & The
Sundance Kid, Marathon Man, Great Waldo Pepper, All The President's Men, Maverick... I could go on, but
I'm sure you get the point!
